I often shop for nail polish online and when Trifle came out I thought it looked like Shag or maybe The Old Bill so I passed. I saw it in person last week and realized I was completely wrong. It is absolutely unique, completely gorgeous and very flattering. It is easy to work with, no brush marks, and has excellent staying power.

Very rich color lacquer. Sometimes darker colors peel off my nails right away, but this lasted a whole week on my nails.

As I wrote in the title, I find Trifle to be something of an enigma. To this date, I have never seen an adequate description. I expected a coppery brown shade, such as the picture shows. But it is SO much more than that. Anyone familiar with Wallis will understasnd that a polish can have an antique-like patina. I feel Trifle has this as well. In the sunlight, there are green micro-shimmer particles that the naked eye could never see without staring at the nails close range in the full light of outdoor sunshine. Yet these micro-particles make Trifle have this.. antique feel. Imagine a sepia photograph from the 1880's come to life. It's an antique looking shade, in a very un-antique base. It's a truely unique shade in the world of lacquer. I've nver seen anything remotely like a dupe in all my nail-obsessed years.

I love this color! It's a beautiful bronze color! Perfect to keep it neutral but not plain!
