Deep, luxurious eggplant hue that, like a raven's feather, is best appreciated when light gleams from it. In low light this chameleon shade reverts to a glossy midnight with just a hint of plum. Being extraordinarily pale I'd hoped for a hint more prismatic purple under all light conditions, which is the only reason I rate this a 4/5. I'm sure it will be a go-to hue for the fall or winter, however. Strongly recommend the Hardware P.D. Quick Topcoat for a depth of color and saturation above and beyond what you get from the bottle. It made every bit of difference.
So, so pretty!

A deep, eggplanty-purpley-blackish color that I just adore! It does take 3 or 4 coats to reach full opacity but it is fully worth it. You could also wear it over grey or black undies so it'll reach opacity in 2 coats/change the look a bit.

I've wanted this since I had first heard of Butter London. I finally got it over the summer, and oh my goodness this is a classic. It's unique and gorgeous. It looks like different colors, depending on what light you are in.

Love this color so much, that it makes me excited to go to London everytime I look at it. Only problem the shine dies down after a while and the purple shows but not enough. A tiny tweak and it would be perfect.

Long lasting, especially with a topcoat. Beautiful raven-black-purple color. Purples are my fave color family, and this is now one of my fave purples!
Unusual and lovely

Yes it takes many coats to become opaque, but once you get it on it is soo pretty.

A really stunning, eggplanty-black shade. It's sheer so it takes more coats than usual to get it opaque—make sure you let the layers fully dry! I haven't tried it as a top coat over another color but it could be a really cool effect.
