Perfect color, doesn't last long

This is only the second lip liner I have ever bought. The first was Butter London, but it was a nude color. Although I thought it was a tad bit orange it stayed on all day and looked very natural with a bit of clear gloss over it. The texture was dry and didn't really glide on, but I loved that I did not have to keep reapplying. When I used it all up I ordered the lip liner something sweet. the color on this one is perfect, it glides on so easy, BUT it also wears off quickly. I would much rather have the first one I ordered. Why is the formula on this one so different?
