Five DIY Nail Trends That are Perfect for Fall

By the look of Instagram and Tik Tok, nail art is not going to stop trending anytime soon. If you haven’t already jumped on the nail art bandwagon, now is *definitely* the time to start. Thanks to our butter LONDON besties, we crowdsourced Instagram for fun and creative looks and were inspired by your cheeky nail art mani’s! We are going to breakdown how to achieve five different nail looks so you, too, can have fabulous Fall nails.

@iramshelton

Calm, Cool, and Collected

First up we have this chic manicure by @iramshelton featuring our cool brown hue with a hint of shimmer, All Hail the Queen. This nail art is simple enough for day to day looks but is still fun with the different nail styles on each finger.

To achieve this cool mauve nail art manicure, start by applying a layer of the bestselling Mellow the Yellow Nail Brightening Treatment to condition the nails while leaving a bright opalescent shade behind.  Next, apply one to two coats of All Hail the Queen Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer, a holographic shimmering beige, to only your pointer and pinky finger on both hands. Then using only the tip of the nail brush, gently apply the moody beige hue to the tips of your thumb, middle finger, and ring finger on both hands. Follow with a top coat of best-selling Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat to lock in nail colour and admire your manicure that is picture-perfect for holding all the pumpkin flavored lattes.

@torimnails

Blue Waves

We have been loving the negative space manicure trend, especially when it includes our fabulous Waterloo Blue Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer. Perfect for the transition from Summer to Fall, @torimnails used this soft cornflower blue crème nail lacquer to create abstract waves on the nails for a flawlessly on-trend look.

To recreate this manicure on yourself, begin by applying a coat of the award-winning Horse Power Nail Rescue Base Coat to protect your nails. Next, go in with Waterloo Blue Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer on various parts of your nails. The beauty of this nail art style is that it is okay to mess up! The negative space trend gives you a lot of freedom in how you want your nails to look. Leave as much or as little blank space as desired. Lastly, go in with a coat of Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat to help prevent nail chopping and admire your groovy blue nails that are a seamless transition to Fall.

**butter LONDON Pro Tip: You can have more control over where you place the Waterloo Blue based on how you hold your nail brush and how much pressure you apply.

@glosshouse

Are You Ready for this Jelly?

Trendy nail art that also provides a strengthening base for your nails? Sign us up! We love this jelly mani look by @glosshouse to tryout this Fall. With warm orange and cool teal, this is a fun combo to wear as we transition into cooler weather.

For this nail art, start with a coat of Horse Power Nail Rescue Base Coat to act as a protective primer. Next go in with two to three coats of the bestselling Orange Marmalade Jelly Preserve Strengthening Treatment on your pinky, ring finger, and pointer finger on both hands. Then go in with two to three coats of Bramley Apple Jelly Preserve Strengthening Treatment on your middle finger and thumb. Allow nails to dry before going in with Cotton Buds Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer to create abstract designs on each nail. Follow with a coat of Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat to give an ultra-glossy appearance to complete this on-trend nail art manicure.

**butter LONDON Pro Tip: It is okay to get a little messy when trying out nail art! Our Nail Scrubbers easily remove stubborn nail lacquer that accidently gets on our cuticles when testing out new manicure ideas.

@sammismanis

Cheeky Glitter

This simple yet stylish look created by @sammismanis is a nail art mani that we definitely want to try out this Fall! A new take on a French manicure with a hint of glitter, this nail art is a great option for those who want to try something new this Fall.

To recreate this manicure, begin with a coat of the high-quality Horse Power Nail Rescue Base Coat to protect nails against future damage. Next apply one to two coats of the iridescent sparkly pink rose colour Tickety Boo Mini Parent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer on each nail. Once Tickety Boo has dried, use Proper Do Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer on the tips of nails by creating diagonal lines starting from the top edge of each nail and connect the two lines in the center to create the pointed appearance.  Complete the look with a final coat of Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat and get ready to show off this mani at bonfires and pumpkin patches this Fall season.

@katevnails

Emerald Jewels

Emerald green is a staple for cooler weather, and our new Royal Emerald Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer from our Crown Jewels Collection is perfect for those who want green with a little shimmer. We love how @katevnails created this look to combine different nail art trends for a DIY Fall Manicure.

For shimmery green nails, begin with our Horse Power Nail Rescue Base Coat to prep nails for an impeccable manicure. Then go in with one to two coats of Royal Emerald Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer on your thumb, middle finger, and pinky finger on both hands. With just the tip of the nail brush, create a French tip on your pointer finger on both hands. Next, using a toothpick or a small nail brush, carefully apply Royal Emerald in a swirl on both ring fingers. Finish the look with a final coat of Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat and get ready to shimmer!
